The original price for the first "Merill Stance" classes was that of Lm1. For those who remember, Malta's National Bird, the Merill, was represented on this very same coin. This is where the idea for the name Merill Stance originated, however there's even more to it than meets the eye..

The "Merill" being a bird also stands to express a few things, namely, Nature & Freedom. And because the bird is so free, it represents in symbolic fashion the freedom of a dancer and the freedom of our classes.

With this in mind, we emphasize that attendance is not obligatory to our lessons, meaning 'the dancer' or 'the student' is naturally free, just like a bird, to attend class.

Further to the idea of freedom, during classes less focus is directed towards head-mastering, indirectly forcing, manipulating, brainwashing, general achievements and more focus is directed towards personalized coaching and giving the right specific instructions,
We think youths are already pestered enough at 'educational' schools with this type of 'teaching'. We don't teach here. We show, we share, we guide, we coach, we suggest. The 'dancer/student' is always free to leave, we leave our doors really open, and our arms wide open too, making it easier for coming back as much as going away.
We understand that our priority is to give the right instructions on 'how to fly alone', because for us it is all about seeing students 'fly' and become dancers. In other words, we do not want our students to stay students.
Once a 'dancer/student' flies into our class we naturally welcome and encourage. Once a 'dancer/student' flies out of our class we naturally leave them free and give our genuine 'au revoir' 'bye-bye goodbye', 'cheerio', 'so long' or 'adieu'.
